Effective on walleyes, bass, pike and other predators. Tip with a variety of IMPULSE® and other soft-plastic swimbait bodies including curl-tail grubs, shad- and minnow-style shapes. Firmly push bait onto Barb-Wire® collar so it contacts jig head. Slow-troll, pitch or cast around cover and structure; also deadly for targeting suspended fish in open water.

    I have recently used used these jig heads because of the wide gap and weight application needed for shallow water fishing for walleye. I paired the 1/4 oz emerald shiner with a berkley gulp minnow in watermelon pearl and it is an absolutely perfect match to the perch that are in the 3 to 5 inch range. Never once had a hook bend out and the paint stays on really well even after landing 30+ good walleyes a day. Excellent job Northland

    The hook keepers work well with harder plastics. They pierce plastics without tearing a gapping hole like barb collars. They also hold soft plastics like a dream. Great jig for pitching weeds. Head design wobbles with paddle tail plastics. The hook is sharp and can take a beating. The only thing I wish they had gold pattern. They discontinued the golden shiner. You can't go wrong with this jig for swim baits.

    I have ordered these jig heads several times. I like the look when combined with a skirt and trailer.

    Got back from a fishing trip recently in Saskatchewan. The only jig I used the whole time, preformed really well and never had issues of bending or breaking. The Barbwire collar holds the bait on solid and makes the fish commit better. Caught some big walleye and a 95lbs Lake Sturgeon on the 3/8oz jig head, only word to describe these jigs is "Unreal".
