Catches bull bluegills, crappies, perch, walleyes, pike and trout year-round. Vertically jig on bottom or higher for suspended fish.     The Northland puppet minnow is one of my year round go to lures. I've used them for summer crappie, fall time walleye, winter bluegill and and spring yellow perch fishing. One of the best things about the puppet minnow is you never know what you might catch. I like to tip mine with a piece of impulse plastic, or a minnow head etc. just gives a little scent to a lure with an already great action. This is the one bait I never go without, with so many sizes and color variations to choose from, its not hard to find the right one for the type of species one might be targeting.

    Purchased 2 lures for a Canadian trip, wished I had bought more. They triggered walleyes so well even my Dad asked to use one and his 1st fish took off and cut 14lb vanish line. I will be buying more.

  • Love the looks of the minnow, buying for our trip to Florida coming up. Will use them a lot in the lily pads and grass.

    Going to Lake Kissimmee as a snowbird, 3 months if crappie fishing, jigging most of the time. Will be interesting to see how well they work on the crappie and bluegill. Should do very well. I want notification of when they are on sale.
