  • Awesome Jig Head

I'm a guide. For years I was using a ball jig head from a competitor that had the standard wire hook. The hook would not penetrate the mouth of trophy class Lake Trout but we still boated fish as long as the line was tight. The competitor discontinued the jigs and my search lead me to the MVP Jig. These jigs cost me three times as much as my old jigs but the Gamatsu hook penetrates in the mouth of trophy Lake Trout. A small price to pay to insure the big fish gets in the boat!

I love the strength and sharpness of the hook. Used them up in Gunisao Lake in Manitoba and had the whole camp talking about them. Like always the colors from Northland are spot on! Only reason I gave it 4 stars is after a few fish or couple bigger fish seemed like the eyes wanted fall out. Overall though phenomenal jig.

I spent a week in Sunset Country of Ontario,
This jig due to the configuration of the hook was my best by far, you would think with the wide hook gap you would snag on rocks. I would mouth insert the out the back of a nice minnow and WOW!
This is a keeper. Look to Hunter Crawford on face book for great recap of the trip.
